Black Koutsourelia olives are a rare variety of Greek Kalamata olives. For four generations, a single family in Greece has cultivated these rare koutsourelia olives, still picking them by hand to ensure perfect ripeness and no bruising. The olives are then preserved using traditional methods of fermentation in a salt brine, with no synthetic colors or preservatives. As is custom in Greece, these olives contain pits.
